George the Poet and wife, Sandra celebrated their engagement anniversary in Uganda’s wild, near Kibaale forest national park.
The acclaimed London-based poet popped the question to Sandra in December of 2020 and they would get married in August last year.
George and Sandra have known each other 15 years now.
The two returned in Uganda last month on holiday and they held their traditional introduction ceremony which had been made impossible due to travel restrictions. They have since been in Uganda.
To mark a special event, when they agreed to spend the rest of your lives together, they spent quality time 309kms away from Kampala, at the Chimpundu lodge in Kibaale, near Kibale National Park which offers experiences in a lush indigenous setting.
Their celebration came a few days ahead of George’s 30th birthday. His birthday falls on January 14. In her birthday regards, Sandra thanked God for the husband’s life and prayed for fulfilment of his desires.
“Our journey started two years ago and since then, we have had 3 proposals, 3 traditionals and 2 weddings,” she wrote.
Adding; “I want to thank God for blessing us and guiding us. Secondly, thank you for making me smile everyday, and showing me true love. You mean the world to me.”
Similarly, George said every moment the two has been classic. “Thank you for making me happy and being so easy to love.”
